DJMagic.io is a small service for DJs and their audiences. Here’s what we collect, how we use it, and who helps us run the app — in plain English.
What we collect
- Account details — Email, and anything you add in the app (display name, URL slug, and similar).
- Content you create — Catalogs, shows, the queue, requests, notes, names or labels from you or your audience, and feedback you send through the product.
- Routine technical data — Such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and pages or API calls. We may infer general location (like country or region) from network data for operations and security. We keep server logs (and, when enabled, aggregate server metrics for uptime and performance — not ad-style tracking).
We don’t run third-party ads on the site, don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking tools, and don’t load typical audience analytics scripts (like Google Analytics) on our pages.
How we use your information
- Run the product — Host and sync what you need for shows, queues, catalogs, and audience pages.
- Sign you in — Session cookies and, when you choose it, magic links by email.
- Email you when the product needs to — Mostly transactional messages (like sign-in links). They may come from a no-reply address; use Feedback in the footer if you need an answer from a person.
- Keep things safe — Slow down abuse, verify some sign-up and sign-in attempts when Turnstile is enabled, and fix outages.
Cookies
We only use essential cookies needed to run the service (such as session and security cookies). These keep you signed in and allow normal site functionality.
We do not use cookies for advertising or marketing. See Cookies for specifics.
Who we work with
We use vendors the way most small hosted apps do. Right now that includes:
- Fly.io — Where the app runs.
- Cloudflare — In front of the app for HTTPS, caching, and related network features, and sometimes Turnstile on sign-in / sign-up.
- Amazon SES — Sending outbound email in production (often from [email protected]).
- Object storage — For uploaded files like catalogs (S3-compatible storage, Tigris in our documented Fly setup).
- CDNs — To deliver assets like icons, fonts, or stylesheets efficiently (for example, Font Awesome).
We don’t sell your data.
Those companies process data only to provide their service to us. If this list changes in a meaningful way, we’ll refresh this page.
How long we keep things
We keep data while it’s needed to run the service and meet legal obligations. We don’t keep things “just in case” without a reason tied to running DJMagic.io.
If you delete your account in the app, we remove your data as described there, aside from ordinary backups and short technical cleanup.
Your choices
- Questions — Use Feedback in the footer, including for privacy questions.
- Account — Update details in the app when signed in. You can delete your account from your Account page when the app allows it (for example, after you’ve ended active shows).
